7月30日，在巴黎奧運會乒乓球混合雙打決賽中，“莎頭”組合王楚欽/孫穎莎以4:2戰勝被外界譽為“神秘之師”的朝鮮隊，奪得金牌，彌補了中國乒乓球隊3年前在東京奧運會留下的遺憾。這是中國乒乓球隊在奧運參賽歷史上的首枚混雙金牌。
On July 30th, in the table tennis mixed doubles final at the Paris Olympics, the "Sha Tou" duo Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha defeated the North Korean team, known as the "mysterious masters" by audiences, with a score of 4:2, winning the gold medal and making up for the regret left by the Chinese table tennis team three years ago at the Tokyo Olympics. The name "Sha Tou" is derived from a combination of their name and nickname, yet it also subtly reflects their agility and wisdom on the court. Sun Yingsha, known as the "Little Monster," is renowned for her sword-like offensive play and her calm demeanor; Wang Chuqin, on the other hand, is like a solid shield, famous for his steady defense and accurate counterattacks. When the sword meets the shield, they form an invincible combination, with every confrontation holding the audience's breath. Having paired up for 8 years, they have fought together in events such as the Jakarta Asian Games, Hangzhou Asian Games, and Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games. On the court, their tacit understanding is at its peak, and just a glance or a gesture is enough to convey their intentions to each other; off the court, they’ve trained hard, never stopping to improve and strengthen themselves. Now, after 8 years of partnership, the "Sha Tou" duo has finally reached the summit. They are not only a perfect fusion of technique and tactics but also a symbol of spirit.
